SATISFACTORY ACADEMIC PROGRESS

Each student will be issued a Diploma upon completion of the course stating number of hours (480) completed, and School requirements met.  Each student will be graded on:  (1) Written Tests.  (2)  Grooming Ability and Progress and (3)  Attitude.  Each area of study will encompass one third of the grade and a 75% average grade per week for twelve weeks is required to graduate.  Weekly tests will be given and continuous evaluation and counseling sessions will occur every four weeks, four weeks shall constitute a grading period.  A written objection must be submitted to the instructor within one week of any disputed grades.  Additional class time will be provided for any student (up to two weeks) who feel they need the extra time to improve their finishing skills.

The failure to maintain a 75% average grade per week for any four weeks (a "grading period") will constitute grounds for termination of the student for lack of satisfactory academic progress.  A student whose average grade per week for  a grading period is less than 60% will be terminated at the end of the grading period.

Any student terminated for lack of satisfactory academic progress may apply for readmission to the school no sooner than four weeks following termination, and must meet all the School's existing entrance requirements for re-admission.

The minimum completion time for the course is three (3) months and the maximum is 3.5 months.  Any student failing to complete the program in 3.5 months will be dismissed.  Dismissal students must wait at least one grading period before re-applying for admission to the School.

Students may appeal any decision on unsatisfactory academic progress to the Director.
